World’s Leading Brand of Vitamin, Mineral and Dietary Supplements* Becomes “Institutional Sponsor of AC Milan”

Cornerstone of Agreement Focuses on Scientific Collaboration of Players’ Fitness, Training and Nutritional Needs

Today Nutrilite announced a sponsorship agreement with AC Milan – the most successful soccer club in the world.  AC MIlan boasts three Intercontinental Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup, seven European Champions Clubs’ Cups, five European Super Cups and two UEFA Cups Winners’ Cups. The global agreement designates the Nutrilite brand as the “Official Nutrition Supplement of AC Milan” and provides the brand with a hybrid of multi-media and promotional rights to the club over the next two years.

Equally important to the marketing and media benefits we secured with AC Milan is the ability to be on the forefront of cutting-edge scientific research and sports training of world-class athletes through the Milanello Training Center,” said Amway CMO Candace Matthews.  “More specifically, by collaborating with Milan Lab, we can showcase how our Nutrilite products help the team achieve optimal health.

Nutrilite, Ronaldinho and AC Milan
Earlier this year, Amway signed two-time FIFA Player of the Year and AC Milan Forward Ronaldinho to a global endorsement agreement and named him Global Spokesperson for the Amway One by One Campaign for Children.  Since 2003, Amway’s philanthropic program has impacted more than 5.5 million children, contributed 839,000 employee and business owner volunteer hours and shared over $52 million (USD) worldwide.

As part of this campaign, the Nutrilite brand’s Goal by Goal Program has committed to donating $10,000 (USD) to the AC Milan Foundation for every goal Ronaldinho scores in Italy.

"Throughout the process of structuring this agreement with Nutrilite, we quickly learned that we share very like-minded principles and philosophies of doing business. We’re both leaders in our respective fields and the corporate citizenship demonstrated by the Ronaldinho Goal by Goal campaign is a natural extension to our ongoing efforts with the AC Milan Foundation,” said A.C. Milan Sales Director Mauro Tavola.

More good news! Sunday (October 19), AC Milan played Sampdoria and won 3-0. Ronaldinho scored the first goal (the game-winning goal) on a free kick. As the kick was made, our Nutrilite inventory was being played on the LED screen. Then, in celebration, Ronaldinho ran over to the corner ... closer to our Nutrilite signage. This footage has been played - and replayed - on newscasts. Then, Ronaldinho scored a second goal! All of this in front of 55,000 to 60,000 fans in-stadium, and countless others through broadcasting on TV.

Milan Lab is famous for preserving the careers of legends like Maldini, who is close to 40 years old! now with Nutrilite, can you imagine the possibilities? Will the entire team or other star players other than Ronaldinho be featured in Nutrilite marketing materials?

Didn't I just hear that David Beckham is negotiating to , during the MLS off season, play for A C Milan? I'd love to see him associated with the RIGHT team ( Team Nutrilite , that is) when he's not wearing a shirt with another "Herb" on it. Reporting in from the road , between Sacramento and Phoenix, with the Nutrilite Mobile Experience

Through 2009, Amway/Amway Global is supporting One by One via Ronaldinho's on-field success.

$10,000 will be donated for every goal Ronaldinho scores.  The money will be donated to the country in which the goal is scored and the Amway/Amway Global market where the goal is scored will choose the One by One partner (existing or new).

hey Andy, give us more information on the Milanello & Milan Lab tie up. It seems that David Beckham has reduced his body fat from 13.8 to 8% in 2 months since training with Milan.
