Put Team Nutrilite to work for you

Team Nutrilite has been on the road a lot already this year, starting with the OC Marathon and recently wrapping up a five-event swing through some key track & field events (Boston Indoor Games, Tyson Invitational, Adidas Track Classic, Reebok Grand Prix and Nike Prefontaine Classic). But just because the main events are behind us for 2008 doesn't mean that there isn't ample opportunity to put Team Nutrilite to work for you this summer.

Summer is chock full of occasions perfect for promoting Nutrilite and Nutrilite Sports Nutrition products through Team Nutrilite.  Soccer, baseball and basketball tournaments abound for our kids.  Sports camps are all over the calendar.  "So what does that mean for me?" you ask.  Well, it means multiple chances to put the Booth & Event Sales Rule to work for you and your business.

Heck, if you're already committed to being at your son or daughter's sporting event for a weekend and if there is the ability to set up shop, why not take advantage?  Invest in a 10 x 10 canopy (available through Quixtar Partner Store ***'s Sporting Goods). You can even get sides to enclose the canopy.  Use the images that are available via the CD-ROM you receive when you register for your booth to create a Team Nutrilite or Nutrilite Sports Nutrition look and feel to your canopy.  If it's a soccer tournament, we have a great Ronaldinho poster available, as well as jerseys and even a soccer ball (coming soon).  Prepare yourself with product knowledge and bring the types of products to sell that people will be seeking - energy drinks, sports drinks, water, energy bars and more.

Combine your time, efforts and selling the products at suggested retail (or above) and viola, your weekend will be more than just great fun and memories, it could also be a smashing success.  And, don't forget, we have four world-class track & field athletes that will be competing to be the best of the best in their sports in less than two months.  Host a watch party and let your friends and neighbors sample products.  Go for your own gold - put Team Nutrilite to work for you this summer.

Do you have a great success story to share with us?  Any tips & tricks or secrets to success that you can share?  How have you put Team Nutrilite to work for your business?

We did not fully appreciate the benefit of Team Nutrilite until we held our first booth event this past April and spoke with people about the athletes and the Nutrilite products they are endorsing. The response was exciting! Now we understand! Now we appreciate!

Susan posted a topic on her Sales Speak blog asking about innovative ideas for new products. We use Nutrilite Sports Nutrition as the anchor product line at our booth events and, in our opinion, this whole line is an example of innovative product ideas!

So, from our perspective, innovation of promotional materials is a hotter topic and is how Team Nutrilite can support us this summer.

First, timing is critical. Content runs an extremely close second.

TIMING: Literature and promotional material available at the same time as (or before) products are released is our number one desire. With three booth events now under our belts, all featuring Sports Nutrition, we have yet to do one where we had the Sports Nutrition Brochure to give as a handout. (It has just become available and we could not get it in time for last Saturday’s event. Had it been available at our local warehouse we would have made a trip to pick it up.) Two of our events were soccer-related. We would have loved to display the Ronaldinho poster, but it is still A/O.

CONTENT: We’re looking for exciting promo pieces available in a variety of formats/sizes with different product focus points. XSGear.com is the model. For the energy drink alone, the XS promo/display choices include 6 banners with two different themes, 1 vertical banner, a branded canopy, and 2 different sizes of brochures.

All the products in the Sports Nutrition line are represented by just 7 promo pieces on the CD-ROM: 2 vertical banners, 2 banners, and three table top pieces (one of which is the same graphic as one of the banners).

More promo pieces to choose from (a variety of sizes and content) will give us the flexibility to design our booths for each specific event to fit space allowed and match the expected audience. (By the way, the new Sports Nutrition logo is fantastic and we have received quite a few compliments on it.)

After just 3 booth events, we are getting a pretty good idea of what works for us as far as display goes and we have some ideas and requests, but don’t know where or to whom they should be directed. We have more events booked and are looking forward to getting some exciting new promo pieces from the corporation.

Andy,

We were very, very excited to see the new Sports Nutrition table tents posted on Quixtar today. Yippee!

Now ... could we ask for a little more? We would like the same table tents, but instead of product names, use the 5 categories of sports nutrition: hydration, recovery, nutrition, energy, and strength.

And if the Graphics department is feeling really ambitious ... how about a single page for each category (printable as either an 8-1/2x11 or 11x17) that contains the category name and then a photo of the products that are in that category. (Making sure XS Energy Drinks are represented in the energy category.)

For our last booth event, we printed our own table tents: 5 different ones with nothing but the category name on it. They were prominently lined up along the front of our table and we watched to see if people gravitated towards a specific category (giving us clues as to what their needs or interests were).

On another note, we went to check out a soccer venue today and what do you think graced the front window of their pro shop? Ronaldinho (in a poster promoting a clothing line). It will be exciting to have our poster of Ronaldinho hanging in our booth when event date rolls around!

We appreciate the efforts of everyone at the corporation for the support they give us on the road to success!

Linda - there should be some for the categories, if not, they are on the way.

We'll consider the other suggestions as well - keep 'em coming.
