Ronaldo de Assis Moreira – “Ronaldinho” to fans – has international appeal!

If you’re not currently a fan of the world’s most popular sport – soccer – get ready to start following Futbol Club Barcelona. That’s the team Ronaldinho (pronounced row-nal-deen-yo) plays for. He is an international superstar, and a recent BBC news report called him, “the most marketable player in the world.”

The brand of vitamins, minerals and dietary supplements that he’s chosen to endorse through 2010? Nutrilite, of course! The deal was announced to the world during a press conference on February 28 in Barcelona, Spain. View a video of the announcement at www.nutrilite.com after 4:00 p.m. EST time today!

Ronaldinho and his team are currently gearing up for the 2010 World Cup. His star power and global visibility will be an asset for Amway affiliates around the world, including North America, where soccer is the most popular sport among Hispanic Americans.

Team Nutrilite is a worldwide effort that embraces active individuals at every level, in any sport, who have a passion for the Nutrilite brand and are committed to achieving their potential while striving for optimal health.

This is pretty cool. Maybe the DeVos and VanAndel families can get Orlando Magic (the team they own) forward Dwight Howard, a budding NBA superstar to start endorsing Nutrilite instead of crappy vitamin water

Ditto on Dwight Howard. A true class act who is very engaging and loved by everyone who knows anything about him. What a terrific addition to Team Nutrilite he would be.

I openly admit I don't really watch sports. Or follow politics. I figure I have a lot of things to

Forget the poster. Is that Nutrilite Soccer Jersey available on Quixtar's web site. of course with PV/BV would be great. Also when are we going to get some well known U.S. athletes form FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, and BASKETBALL.Not to many Americans can stand to sit through any entire Soccer game and will not even watch track and field. Still the Players we got are the best of their Sport so at least we know to go for the best.

This is an exciting thing for Nutrilite and our future. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and is growing by leaps and bounds in the US. Being a soccer fan/mom I have heard plenty of Ronaldinho and can't wait to have his star power market the product for me!! My teenage boys would go wild for the poster and crazy for the jersey. Hope we can purchase them. Go Team Nutrilite!

In the above post, it states: "Ronaldinho and his team are currently gearing up for the 2010 World Cup."

Before that sentence, y'all just told us to start following FC Barcelona. The way the whole thing is set up, it could make the uninitiated think that Ronaldinho's team, FC Barcelona, was the one "gearing up for the 2010 World Cup," which is of course incorrect.

That said, GREAT IDEA to get Ronaldinho as a spokesman! And do let us know where we can get the soccer jersey!!   :-)

# Melissa Charles said on April 16, 2008 4:54 PM:
