Have you seen the December 2007 issue of Runner’s World magazine?

Well, in anticipation of the January 6, 2008, Avia OC Marathon, proudly sponsored by Nutrilite, we’ve placed a full-page, ultra-cool ad in select states (Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii). The ad invites readers to order a free sample of NUTRILITE® Rhodiola 110. All they have to do is log on to www.teamnutriliteusa.com to redeem the offer. The free, two-tablet samples will be mailed to the first 50,000 people to redeem the online offer, on a first-come, first-served basis.

So, if you live in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, or Hawaii, be sure to grab a copy of Runner’s World, if you don’t already subscribe!

If you don't live in those select states, don't fret - The sample offer on http://www.teamnutriliteusa.com/ is available to customers across the U.S.

If you're a Quixtar Independent Business Owner (IBO), to get credit for any sales associated with the sample offer, here’s what you do:

-- Make sure customers enter your IBO number and key when they place an order.

-- Your IBO key is the first three letters of your last name or the first three letters of your business name.

-- Customers who don’t know an IBO will be assigned one from the current Leads Program, and PV/BV from any sale will be awarded to that IBO.

While IBOs are not personally eligible for the free sample, the advertisement is a great way to start building recognition for the Nutrilite brand and products. IBOs can tell friends and family about the ad and invite them to order their free Rhodiola sample.

We hope you’re as excited as we are about this high-profile marketing event! Go Team NUTRILITE!

I am very disappointed with two things: free shipping for customers over $75, but not for IBOs, and the free samples for customers who then get assigned to a Platinum. Wouldn't it be wiser to be sending samples to IBOs as new products are introduced, and also a sample with each order, like Fuller Brush does? IBOs usually always buy more than customers so, it would encourage IBOs to go out and show and sell, once they have gotten a sample of a new product that they might not otherwise have tried. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but I really think Quixtar is barking up the wrong tree on this one.

Jeffrey,

I can understand your point here, but I believe for the long term success of Quixtar/Amway, I believe it to be a good move.  However, I can very much agree with the shipping.  I don't think it should be 75 but perhaps 150 or 200 dollars

Hi Jeffrey, In regards to the Rhodiola 110 samples, we're very much trying to empower IBOs with this special offer. IBOs have the opportunity to refer friends and family members who have not tried Rhodiola yet to the site. In all of our internal communications we've been encouraging IBOs to provide their friends and family members with their IBO number. This is for two reasons: (1) IBOs will receive weekly email updates with the names of every individual that requested a free sample using their IBO number. (This makes it easier for the IBO to know who they should be following up with.) (2) Equips the potential customer with the correct IBO number for if/when they place an order from the site. The only instances when a customer is assigned to a Platinum is when they place an order and don't already have an IBO. (Customers aren't assigned to a Platinum just for requesting a sample.) Our Rhodiola supplement has been around for years (not a new product launch), but we're hoping that efforts like this help bring extra attention to exceptional, experiential Nutrilite products... Ultimately, helping IBOs build their businesses. I hope this helps.

Melissa,

I am VERY pleased that the Rhodiola samples have fields to enter the IBO name and IBO#. And the weekly email updates is excellent and evidence that Quixtar is helping us, the IBOs, build our INDIVIDUAL businesses.

I am much more willing to refer people to the Team Nutrilite site to get the Rhodiola. The Simply Nutrilite website is a different story. Without the IBO name and # being asked when "ordering" a sample, I will not refer people to that site. I'll give 'em my own samples that I pay for with my own money.

Melissa, can we get SimplyNutrilite.com to include the IBO name and IBO # when ordering the sample?

And if there are any other sites that will be offering free samples--like maybe an Artistry Essentials skin care sample at www.artistryessentials.com--can they include the IBO name and IBO #?

Thanks!

By the way, Rhodiola ROCKS! And not just for athletes. Tired moms is a fabulous market to target. :-)

I have looked around your website and like what you've done with the place. The updates on the athletes your sponsor is cool. I have heard of Nutrilite but had no idea the company was so involved in track & field. I love it!

I have a copy of the Runners World from December 2007 and can't see, to locate the simply nutrilite ad. Do you know which page it is on in the magazine? Thank you
# Melissa Charles said on March 26, 2008 11:23 AM:

The ad is on page 43.

It's actually a Nutrilite ad for Nutrilite Rhodiola 110 - not a Simply Nutrilite ad. And the ad only ran in the issues that went to Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. (A regional buy, as it also included a mention of our sponsorship of the OC Marathon in California.)

Hope this helps!

I know that the ingredients in Nutrilite products, Rhodiola and XS do not contain any banned substances under NCAA, USADA and WADA  regulations but where can I find statements that would verify that?  Thank you.
